Scottish Executive, Not Government

I see the SNP are pushing their 'economic' independence for Scotland agenda at their upcoming conference. Not a surprise, since they want to be running the show and, as usual, it is personal and tribal ambition that drives such campaigns, not a concern for the people.

Just a note for various parts of the British media and others: the correct term for the administration in Scotland is the Scottish Executive. It is not a government. The SNP re-branded it as such a couple of years ago and presumably Westminster couldn't be arsed to do anything about it.

I am also amazed to say that I have even heard Gordon Brown refer to it as the executive rather than government. Weird.
