ENGLISH HERITAGE is to rewrite guides to its properties to ensure they can be understood by visitors with the reading age of a 10-year-old.Why not ensure that people are educated in the first place? Ah, but that would be elitist.

Who presumably has a degree in Tourist Bedazzlement and Alternative Weed Remedy Medicine from somewhere or other and is unable to understand that going for the lowest common denominator IS dumbing down.
